India Today On Line Education Discussion Points
1. STOCK TAKING ON LINE EDUCATION !
1. 3 % to 100 % academics came on to line with in three weeks or so
2. Universities , Schools and Colleges dont have ready made infrastructure and content all these years
Suddenly they are forced to befriending with the same agencies whom they thought competitors now as their best helpers . Same set of people whom they shunned as NO SCHALORSHIP now became LIFE LINE for academics !
3. Most of these people are NOT TYPICAL EDUCATORS and PROFESSORS ! But janitors ! Back Benchers and Money makers !
4. Teachers are not READY and COMPETENT to do this ! Students are far ahead of teachers in this race !

2. RESPONSE of ACADEMICS
1. Indian Educators Are SILENT on ON LINE Education . They are mum. No VC, Director, IIM IIT professors speak what is going to be , how they will do. Nothing is spoken !
2. They are doing little and claiming that it is MILE STONES.. What is done earlier done on ON LINE . Classroom discussions and done on line ! Most boring ones !
It is atrocious.. MCQ and short answer questions and case studies giving to students on line exam !

Centrality of LEARNING is.. LEARNER ! LEARNING REMOTE is lost ! and NEW people have taken up !
DEVELIVERY MODELS CHANGED
PRICES, TIME, SPACE, GEOGRAPHY CHANGED
Complete academic value chain is TRANSFORMED ! Admissions, hostels, class rooms, examinations, convocations etc !
UNLEARNING, RELEARNING , RATHER LEARNING
NEED FOR TEACHERS to learn !
Certain BEST learning practices becomes WORST !
Good colleges might become bad !
Good professors become bad !
Governments rope in different LEARNING deliverers not conventional schools and colleges !
